Collecting data on happiness can serve a number of purposes, including helping governments to design better public policies. With the help of emotion recognition technology (i.e. gesture recognition, brain scanning, other biometrics) data collected can become much more credible. What would change in our society if we really monitor happiness?

I think we currently live in a world where human capital is just capital. In many countries, the working conditions are very cruel. I hope that in 2050 there will be international labour protection. Of course, this will also be reflected in the prices of products, Products become more expensive (the customer bears the increased health and safety costs).
I love to see this one in the Hopeful as opposed to Fearful category, it can definitely go both ways but there is amazing potential in utilising this for good :)
